Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the CraftCert website at craftcert.co.uk, including any free tools and content we provide, and of the CraftCert service you use with an account — on the Free plan, during a trial, or on a paid subscription (together, the “Service”). CraftCert is a product of Crocker Digital Ltd (Company No. 17008789), registered in England and Wales.

These terms, together with the documents they incorporate, form the agreement between you and Crocker Digital Ltd (the “Agreement”). By using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Use of the site and free tools

The site and any free tools are provided for general information and convenience. While we aim to keep everything accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee that the content or tool outputs are error-free or constitute professional compliance advice.

You are responsible for verifying that any labels, formulations, or compliance information generated by our tools meet the requirements for your specific products and circumstances.

Your use of the Service is also subject to our Acceptable Use Policy (at https://craftcert.co.uk/acceptable-use), which sets out the activities you may not engage in when using CraftCert. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach those rules.

3. Accounts

Creating an account is free. The free tier allows limited use of CraftCert’s features. Paid tiers are available via Stripe subscription; section 4 explains how subscriptions, renewal, cancellation and refunds work. We will use your email address only as described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing support@craftcert.co.uk.

4. Subscriptions, renewal, cancellation and refunds

Trial. A new account gets 14 days of Maker access free of charge, with no card required. When the trial ends, the account moves to the Free plan unless you subscribe.

Paid plans. Maker and Studio are paid subscriptions, billed monthly or annually at the price shown on our pricing page when you subscribe. Payments are taken by our payment provider, Stripe. If you subscribe during your trial, the first charge is taken when the trial ends, not on the day you subscribe.

Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period — every month or every year, depending on the billing period you chose — and the payment method you gave Stripe is charged for the next period, until you cancel. If a renewal payment fails, we will try to email you so you can update your payment details. If it has still not been paid after a short grace period, your paid access is suspended until the payment goes through.

Price changes. If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you by email before your subscription renews at the new price, so you can cancel first if you do not want to pay it.

Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from the Billing page in your dashboard, which opens Stripe’s customer portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal. It takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and your account then moves to the Free plan. We do not refund the unused part of a period you cancel, other than under the 30-day refund below. Your data stays in your account when it moves to the Free plan, and you can subscribe again at any time.

30-day refund, no questions. Email support@craftcert.co.uk within 30 days of your first paid charge and we will refund that charge in full. We will not ask why. This covers the first payment you ever make to CraftCert, whether monthly or annual; it does not cover later renewal payments. The refund goes back to the payment method you used. When we make it, your subscription ends and your account moves to the Free plan.

Nothing in this section affects your legal rights.

5. Intellectual property

All content on this site — including text, graphics, logos, and tool designs — is owned by Crocker Digital Ltd or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

Any content you generate using our free tools (such as labels) is yours to use, but the underlying tool and its design remain our intellectual property.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crocker Digital Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or its tools.

Our free tools and content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. They do not replace professional regulatory advice. You should always consult a qualified professional where compliance is critical.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

8. Data and privacy

For details on how we collect, store, and protect your data, please see our Privacy Policy.

The Data Processing Agreement at /dpa/ is incorporated into these Terms by reference and forms part of the Agreement. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the DPA. No separate countersignature is required for the DPA to be enforceable. If your procurement process requires a bilateral signed copy, contact us at support@craftcert.co.uk.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
